The Girl Who Stayed: Kate Baldwin & Friends Sing the Songs of Will Van Dyke

Finian's Rainbow Tony nominee Kate Baldwin will celebrate the music of Will Van Dyke at New York's Sheen Center.  The Kate Baldwin & Friends evening will be offered at the downtown venue March 21 at 7:30 PM.  The March evening, entitled The Girl Who Stayed: Kate Baldwin & Friends Sing the Songs of Will Van Dyke, will also feature Matt Doyle and Jessica Vosk. The vocalists will be joined and led by Van Dyke and backed by his band, The Whiskey 5. Jeff Talbott directs.

Baldwin has also appeared in the Broadway productions of Big Fish, The Full Monty, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Wonderful Town; the Off-Broadway productions of Songbird, Jon and Jen (Drama Desk nomination) and Giant (Drama Desk nomination); as well as in concerts with the New York Pops, Encores! and the American Songbook series at Lincoln Center.

Straight - A New Play

Will is thrilled to be composing music for the new play STRAIGHT by Scott Elmegreen and Drew Fornarola.  Starring Jake Epstein as Ben, the play is described: "Meet Ben. Ben is a 26-year-old investment banker. Ben likes beer, sports, and Emily.  And Chris."  STRAIGHT, to be directed by Andy Sandberg, is set to begin previews Feb. 9, 2016, and officially open Feb. 29. Annaleigh Ashford New Year's Eve and Album!

Annaleigh Ashford will ring in the New Year with a special Dec. 31 show at nightlife hotspot Feinstein's/54 Below. The evening will be a new show celebrating the live recording of her show "Lost In The Stars."  Ashford premiered "Lost in the Stars" at 54 Below earlier this year and later toured the nightclub act to several cities across the U.S.  The recording is due from Broadway Records November 13.

Now available on iTunes: Broadway stars Kate Baldwin, Jonathan Groff and Billy Porter are among performers giving voice to the pop and theatre songs of the new songwriting team of Will Van Dyke and Jeff Talbott on the EP recording “A View of the River,” released on multiple platforms Sept. 15. The album will be followed up with a Sept. 21 54 Below concert to feature some of the recording’s singers and additional stars, including Tony winner Annaleigh Ashford, Julia Murney and more.
